CAREL NXL: Variable Frequency Drives
The new range of variable frequency drives with single-phase/three-phase power supply and three-phase output for all variable capacity applications.
Designed to respond to the requirements of:
- variable speed of fans in air handling systems;
- modulation of compressor operation;
- variable flow-rate of system supply pumps and evaporator pumps on chillers;
- control of condensing pressure in fan assemblie.
CAREL proposes a range of compact NXL drives, available with power ratings from 0.37 to 30 kW. Their "book-like" design, index of protection and EMC levels make the NXL drives the ideal solution for all operating environments.
Control can be implemented by:
- 0 to 10V or 4 to 20 mA analogue signal;
- Modbus® on RS485 serial communication as standard.
The CAREL NXL VFD is based on a modular design concept. The drive can be supplied with or without the control panel, with or without boards and with different index of protection, IP20 for the small sizes MF2 and MF3, IP21 and IP54 for the larger sizes
MF4-MF6.
A range of I/O expansion and fieldbus boards is also available.
General features
- single-phase version, 208 to 240 V power supply, 0.37 kW to 1.5 kW;
- three-phase version, 380 to 500 V power supply, 0.55 kW to 30 kW;
- variable dimensions on 5 frames from MF2 to MF6 in the different power ratings;
- optional control panel, easy to use, with 4 buttons and multilanguage LCD display;
- settable control signal, 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 mA;
- Modbus® serial interface over RS485 as standard;
- optional serial interface for: PROFIBUS DP, LonWorks®, PROFIBUS DP (D9 connector), CANopen (Slave), DeviceNet, METASYS® N2 (D9 connector);
- vast range of accessories:
- kit assembly flange, FR4-FR6 for sizes MF4-MF6;
- RFI filters;
- choke filters;
- remote control panels via RS232.
