The last two or three months have seen many challenges both internally and within the market place. We have seen the buyout of JS Humidifiers by Walter Meier, and a move from Neptronic, who manufacture the humidifiers that JS Humidifiers we selling, which means the market with regards to humdification has opened up somewhat to wholesalers, installers and distributors.

Euro Controls UK Ltd, over the last 12 months have taken steps to improve the level of service offered to customers by arranging training days for engineers, in house demonstrations, after sales follow up calls and technical support on humidifiers and controllers.

One example of this, is Tim Watts, Business Development Manager of Euro Controls UK Ltd arranged a day of training for Adcock Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Ltd, and their engineers. The day was spent reviewing the latest in refrigeration controls from CAREL, lead by Behzad Yazdani (Technical Manager at CAREL), and supported by Leona Lilford (Technical Sales Engineer). The CAREL Electronic Expansion Valve system was demonstrated, and the engineers had the opportunity to review the multitude of functions of the expansion valves and the CAREL EVD Evolution Driver. Set up is simple, and very easy to use - particularly useful for a company such as Adcock Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, who because of the vast number of projects and limited time they have on site, they need a solution that works well and reduces installation time.

Adcock Refrigeration & Air Conditioning have been using the new CAREL expansion valves with great success, if fact Martyn Foreman Branch Manager of the Pampisford Branch had this to say,when asked for feedback on the functionality of the valves:

"The [CAREL] valves we have purchased are working very well and we are very pleased with their operation, especially the control of the superheat, it controls that on the button unlike a mechanical valve."

Constant feedback on our service, products and marketing efforts are going to be key for us over the next 12 months. While we are still a relatively small operation, we are trying to improve in all areas of the business and welcome comments from customers and suppliers as to how we may better serve them.

Humidification

Changes in the market place with the Walter Meier buyout of JS Humidifiers have made things interesting, and we are excited that the market could well open up to providing more opportunities for Euro Controls UK Ltd and other suppliers of humidifiers.

We have seen an increase in sales of humidifiers and humidifier cylinders over the last 3 months and are very grateful for this increase in sales. We have also been reviewing how we can provide a more efficient servicing regarding commissioning of humidifiers that are newly installed.

We supplied one customer in particular who wanted to save money on the order so we looked at the way we usually provide the humidifier, the controls, spares and commissioning. It was agreed that the margins on humidifier sales, at the moment, is not big enough to make drastic cuts, however we were able to offer the commissioning at a very reasonable rate, if performed live over the phone by one of our engineers, with the installer on site. This proved to be very acceptable, and the customer was happy to move forward with the project. This type of flexibility we have at Euro Controls UK Ltd, to ensure the customer receives the very best service is proving to be a winning formula, and of course is making the business of supplying humidifiers even more interesting!
