Humidification for ducted adiabatic cooling systems
Adiabatic cooling systems spray droplets of water that evaporate absorbing heat from the air. For every one litre of evaporated water, approximately 690 watts of cooling is provided.
One litre an hour of water can be sprayed with as little as 10 watts of electricity, the huge energy advantage gives 690 watts of cooling for 10 watts power typical.
Air Handling systems often use heat recovery wheels or heat exchange plates to comply with the current emphasis on energy efficiency whilst maintaining the requirements of fresh air. During winter the heat is recovered from the exhaust air to pre heat the fresh incoming air. In summer the opposite can be applied by using adiabatic cooling to provide additional cooling benefits.
Exhaust air is cooled by a spray manifold, creating a fine mist, evaporating and thus cooling the exhausted air at 690 watts per litre of water. The cool air then passes through the plate heat exchanger providing additional cooling to the fresh incoming air and significant energy savings!
mc multiZone and humiFog are the ideal products for ducted Adiabatic Cooling systems and Air Handling Units.
